The title slide and fold is a fairly new name given to the latest versions of doors and it simply attempts to describe the operating action of the door.
In fact all Slide and Fold doors must first "Fold" then "Slide" as the first panel of every door has first to swing back before any sliding motion can take place.
As confusing as this sounds the actual operation of our Aluminium Slide and Fold Doors is simplicity itself.

This Slide and fold video shows an internal view of exactly how a 4.7 metre wide five panel type opens and closes in detail. Notice the first 2 doors latch together by way of a "panel catch" which keeps the folded doors held together while you are sliding them to the left. When you are ready to begin the closing of the doors the panel catch releases the held doors with little effort.
Slide and fold doors are suitable for domestic or commercial applications and can be used to divide a room like a conservatory from the main house.
When used externally they add the wow factor to a home and can provide natural light and fresh air in abundance.
