Bi Fold Aluminium Doors - What are Bi Folding Doors?
Bi Fold Aluminium Doors, as shown in the animations above, include a series of individual panels connected using high-tech hinges and rollers. These durable rollers allow for smooth opening singularly, partially or fully.
Bifold door tracks are seamlessly fitted to the top and bottom of the strong aluminium outer frame using machine screws for added security. Tracks hold rollers firmly, so doors seal together tightly. Bifold door rollers are manufactured using carefully engineered steel gearing, moving smoothly back and forth along the full length of the aperture.
Also known as Folding Doors , Bi Fold Doors , or Slide and Fold Doors . They are doors that traditionally were used in commercial applications like decorative and functional restaurant fronts. As such, they’re typically found in warmer climates. So the restaurant owner can quickly and easily open them fully when the sun shines to bring a piece of the outdoors into the interior atmosphere.
How are modern Bi Fold Doors different?
In warmer climates, Bi Fold Doors did not traditionally need thermal efficiency or tight security. They, instead, acted as a barrier to the elements when the temperature was a bit low for alfresco dining.

Energy savings using several chambers
In two- or three-chamber systems the profiles are made up of two or three separate compartments, filled with air, referred to as chambers. Just like in hollow walls the air acts as an insulator in the chambers. In the space between the chambers we place fibreglass-reinforced polyamid strips (hard plastic). The wider the filled space, the higher the insulation value, and the lower your energy bill!
